Marvin Hinton (2 February 1940 – 2 December 2025) was an English footballer. He made nearly 400 appearances in the Football League playing as a defender for Charlton Athletic and Chelsea.[2] He played for the England national under-23 football team in 1962, making three appearances. He was also part of Alf Ramsey's provisional 40-man squad for England at the 1966 World Cup,[3] but he did not make the final team.
Hinton was born in Norwood, London and raised in South Norwood [4] He died on 2 December 2025 at the age of 85.[5]
