Matthew Michael "Matt" Murdock, also known as Daredevil, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Portrayed by Charlie Cox, he is a skilled lawyer and vigilante who fights crime in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. After a childhood accident that heightened his other senses, Matt uses his abilities to combat evil both as a lawyer defending the innocent and as Daredevil, the masked hero. His character is known for his unwavering sense of justice, martial arts prowess, and complex moral code. In the MCU, he has appeared on Netflix's Marvel Television series Daredevil and in the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Echo, and Daredevil: Born Again, and he made a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and has been integrated into the larger Marvel storyline.
