Will this be updated for the Q4 fundraising notice, which starts on Friday, December 16, if I remember correctly? Thanks! Flcelloguy 00:37, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, it appears to be up now, though I can't find the MediaWiki: page it's on. Flcelloguy 00:50, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to Wiki-Conference New York the weekend[change source]

It's over. Please remove it. Thanks. --Gmaxwell (talk) 19:38, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This Sitenotice is clean. No content. Probably wrong wiki? Barras (talk) 19:40, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, good news! Thanks to FreedomFighterSparrow and Brion, unregistered users can now hide the sitenotice again. Previously, they were forced to see it continuously.

In all cases, please use the sitenotice with care, and keep in mind that occasional visitors see sitenotices on all their visits, if they visit less than once a month or they don't click "dismiss" and save a cookie. Nemo 15:43, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate text[change source]

@Osiris: This version might get a little more attention.... Etamni (talk) 10:41, 16 February 2016‎ (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make it more attention-grabbing, that's fine – I was going for the less distracting = less complaints doctrine. That image is stretched, though, and I don't know what resolution/aspect ratio you've got but on my screen it's about twice the height of the box. It might be better to remove the box. Osiris (talk) 12:08, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Osiris: I grabbed the image from commons; just wanted a graphic of some sort that represented "reference" and that one was uniquely Wikipedia! Anyway, I only set a single dimension, hoping that the image would scale correctly, but of course it can be reduced in size as needed. It looks ok to me with the "px" set to 100 instead of 150, but your mileage may vary! (Thanks for getting it started, btw!) Etamni | ✉   18:19, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Etamni: The image sits within the box on my screen at about 90px maximum. Better to constrain within the borders, so that it doesn't matter what resolution you use. It's too bad they don't have an SVG version of that image, though, because it doesn't match the background. What about VisualEditor's references icon?
Osiris (talk) 10:42, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Osiris: That looks great too. (Actually, that looks better than the one I found). Note: I'm on semi-wikibreak the rest of the week and don't have much time right now, but I'd say go ahead and update it. Etamni | ✉   18:43, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since (according to closing-request trolls) this wiki is "too inactive to remain open" (disregarding the fact that "too inactive" isn't a reason to close a project). Lojbanist (talk) 23:08, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(non-admin comment) Lojbanist, I don't think we're inactive as of now... --Thegooduser Let's Talk! :) 🍁 20:43, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
