Melanie Chisholm (born in Whiston, Cheshire, on 12 January 1974)[1] is an English singer-songwriter and television personality. She is best known as one of the five members of the girl group Spice Girls. When she was member of the Spice Girls, she was nicknamed "Sporty Spice". As a solo artist, she has released four albums. She was nominated for a BRIT and ECHO Award.[2] She charted at the top of the Billboard Dance Chart in the US in late 2000.
