Merthyr Tydfil railway station (Welsh: Gorsaf reilffordd Merthyr Tudful) is a train station in Merthyr Tydfil, a town in Wales. It opened in 1853.
Managed by Transport for Wales, it is the northern end of the Merthyr line that connects it to Cardiff Central.
It is a small station and only has one platform.
Services
[change | change source]The station has a train every half hour to and from Cardiff Central on weekdays and Saturdays. Trains to Cardiff usually continue past the city and end at Barry Island or Bridgend.
