Metal Max (Metaru Makkusu, Metaru Makkusu) is a 1991 video game has released for Nintendo Famicom, and Super Famicom. Developed by Crea-Tech, and publihsed by Data East. The gameplay is a turn-based, open world, nonlinear, vehicle combat role-playing, and as a part of first Metal Max series.

Metal Max is set on a futuristic post-apocalyptic world, where the surviving humans cluster in underground villages, and ruins for "monster hunters". The game has followed by sequel Metal Max 2. A direct sequel called Metal Saga: Season of Steel released in 2006 for Nintendo DS.
