Micula (surname)

Micula (Hebrew: מיקלה, Mîḵulāh) is a surname of Ashkenazi Jewish origin. It is most popular in Eastern Europe.

The name dates back to the 11th century, many Jews moved to East Europe to avoid persecution.[1] In some countries the name is written as Mikula, because of the Slavic influence.[2]
