Middlesex men's cricket team
The Middlesex men's cricket team is based at Lord's in north London. It represents the traditional English county of Middlesex. Teams called Middlesex have been active since 1730. The team is organised by the Middlesex County Cricket Club, which was formed in 1863. Middlesex have first-class status, and the team has competed in the official County Championship since 1890. They have won the trophy eleven times, most recently in 2016.[1] Their home ground is Lord's. Many great players have represented Middlesex, including V. E. Walker, Pelham Warner, Patsy Hendren, Denis Compton, Bill Edrich, Fred Titmus, John Murray, Mike Brearley, and Mike Gatting.[2]
