Mieruko-chan (Japanese: 見える子ちゃん, "The Girl Who Can See Them") is a manga series written and illustrated by Tomoki Izumi. It started its publication online in November 2018 on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website. Thirteen tankōbon volumes have been released so far. In 2021, it was adapted into an anime series and was produced by Passione.

The series is follows the story of Miko Yotsuya, a high school student who has the ability to see horrifying ghosts that haunt people around her. Despite of this, Miko tries her best to ignore their existence and tries to live out a normal high school life.

Mieruko-chan is written and illustrated by Tomoki Izumi, and started serialization on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website on November 2, 2018.[1] Kadokawa Shoten started publishing the series in print in April 2019 and had already released thirteen tankōbon volumes as of October 2025. The series is licensed in English by Yen Press.[2]

An anime television series adaptation was announced on March 18, 2021. Produced by Passione, it is directed by Yuki Ogawa, with assistant director Shintarō Matsushima and directing assistant Kenta Ihara overseeing scripts, character designer Chikashi Kadekaru creating characters, and Makoto Uno designing monsters.[3]

On December 10, 2021, Funimation announced that the series would receive an English dub. It premiered on December 12.[4]

A live-action movie adaptation, directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura, is scheduled for release in the summer of 2025.[5]

Reception

In 2019, Mieruko-chan was nominated for the 5th Next Manga Awards in the digital category and placed 10th out of 50 nominees.[6] As of October 2022, the manga has sold over two million copies.[7]
