Mike Medavoy
Morris Mike Medavoy (born January 21, 1941) is an American movie producer and executive. He is the current chairman and CEO of Phoenix Pictures. He is also the co-founder of Orion Pictures (1978), former chairman of TriStar Pictures and former head of production for United Artists (1974–1978). He has served as a producer for movies such as The Thin Red Line (1998), The 6th Day (2000), Vertical Limit (2000), Basic (2003), Holes (2003), Stealth (2005), All the King's Men (2006), Miss Potter (2006), Pathfinder (2007), Resurrecting the Champ (2007), Zodiac (2007), License to Wed (2007), Shutter Island (2010), Shanghai (2010), Black Swan (2010), What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012) and The 33 (2015).
Medavoy was born in the Chinese city of Shanghai. His parents were Russian Jews.[1] He lived in Chile from 1947 to 1957. He became an American citizen in 1963. He has been married four times. He has two children, including Brian Medavoy.
