The Military of Afghanistan consisted of Afghani's who advocated for peace and the freedom to rule their State. Their intention was to along with the help of The United States rid Afghanistan of the Taliban. Their ranks were cluttered with corruption but, also included loyal patriots. The army eventually gave in after the withdrawal of U.S. troops.

Hakimi head of Taliban’s Ranks Clearance Commission, told that they will "Revise the composition of a formidable military force in alignment with the nation's requirements and overarching strategic objectives."[1] Further he said "Skilled individuals, such as pilots, engineers, service personnel, and logistical and administrative staff from the prior administration, are fulfilling their roles within the security sector."[2]

Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, a Taliban commander from the northern region of Badakhshan and the chief of army staff, "The Ministry of Defense holds the highest budget allocation," he remarked, Defence forces now numbering 150,000 are targeted to be increased by 50,000, emphasizing that it was granted a notably larger portion compared to other ministries, reflecting its pivotal status in the budgetary framework primarily sustained by increased tax and customs revenues. Over the course of 18 months following their assumption of power, the Taliban dedicated efforts towards establishing a civilian administration and assembling a national military from what was once an insurgent faction engaged in a two-decade-long conflict against foreign forces and the former U.S.-supported Afghan government.[3]
