Milton Gonçalves

Milton Gonçalves (Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈmiwtõ ɡõˈsawvis]; 9 December 1933 – 30 May 2022) was a Brazilian actor, political activist and television director. He was one of the most famous black actors in Brazil. He was known for playing a police chief in Kiss of the Spider Woman.[1] Gonçalves was born in Monte Santo de Minas, Minas Gerais, Brazil. In the 1990s, he ran for Governor of Rio de Janeiro state.

Gonçalves died on 30 May 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from problems caused by a stroke, aged 88.[2]
