Mukhtasar al-Quduri

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Mukhtasar al-Quduri is a book summarising some Hanafi legal matters, written by Al-Quduri. The author originally referred to it as "Al-Kitab" (the book) in Arabic, but it is now widely known by followers as Mukhtasar al-Quduri. The book is summarised in sixty-three chapters, starting with the chapter of acts of worship (such as prayer) and ending with the obligatory acts. The book also shows what Hanafi scholar differed upon on legal matters for some issues.[1][2]

Reception

[change | change source]

Al-Maydani said in Al-Lubab: "The blessed book of Imam al-Quduri has spread its blessings to the point that it has become almost as essential as necessary knowledge. Therefore, students have devoted themselves to understanding it, teaching it, and have crowded to learn and teach it."[1][3][4]
