National Republican Convention

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

National Republican Convention was a Nigerian political party started by the former head of state General Ibrahim Babangida.[1]

Politics[change | change source]

Babangida made to the party for Nigerians who like conservative politics. The party did well in the core northern states and eastern states of Abia and Enugu. Still, some people felt the National Republican Convention was almost the same as the other party. These two parties joined together to become Nigeria's Social Democratic Party and another government-created party.[2]
