Nigel Martin Evans (born 10 November 1957) is a British politician. He was born in Swansea, Wales. He has been the Member of Parliament for Ribble Valley since 1992. He was a Conservative until 2013. Since then he has been an Independent. He was First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means from 2010 to 2013.

Evans lives in Pendleton, Lancashire.[1] He is openly gay.[2] In 2014 at Preston Crown Court, he was acquitted of nine sex crimes, including a rape.[1]
