Noah Wyle (born June 4, 1971) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as John Carter in the television series ER (1994–2009). This earned him nominations for three Golden Globe Awards and five Primetime Emmy Awards. He has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award for his work on the HBO Max medical drama The Pitt (since 2025), earning recognition both for his lead performance as Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch and as an executive producer.
