Northern Trains Limited, trading as Northern is a British train operating company that runs local and regional services in Northern England.

It is owned by DfT Operator, the government-owned railway holding company. The company commenced operations on 1 March 2020, after the previous operator Arriva Rail North had its franchise ended early because of poor performance.
