The Norwegian Intelligence Service (NIS) or Etterretningstjenesten is a Norwegian military intelligence agency under the Ministry of Defence

The head of the Intelligence Service is Nils Andreas Stensønes.[1]

NIS is responsible for analysis and collecting information outside of Norway's borders and information related to the Norwegian interests in relation to foreign states, organizations and individuals.[2]
