Nottinghamshire men's cricket team
The Nottinghamshire men's cricket team is based in Nottingham. It represents the traditional English county of Nottinghamshire. Teams called Nottinghamshire have been active since 1829. Until 1841, the county name was used solely by the Nottingham Cricket Club for their matches against county teams. Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club was formed in 1841 to take responsibility for organisation of the county team. Nottinghamshire have played in the County Championship since 1890, and have won the title seven times, most recently in 2025.[1][2] Their main home venue is Trent Bridge. Many great players have represented Nottinghamshire, including William Clarke, George Parr, John Jackson, Alfred Shaw, Arthur Shrewsbury, William Gunn, Harold Larwood, Gary Sobers, and Richard Hadlee.[3]
