Novi Pazar (Serbian Cyrillic: Нови Пазар, lit. "New Bazaar"; pronounced [nôʋiː pǎzaːr]) is a city in the Raška District of southwestern Serbia. 66,527 lived here in 2011.[1] The city is majority ethnic Bosniak with a Muslim majority who follow Islam. It is the only Muslim-majority city in Serbia. It is located close to the border with Kosovo and Montenegro. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides.
