The Oklahoma City Comets are a Minor League Baseball team from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.[2] They play baseball at the Triple-A (AAA) level, the most difficult level before Major League Baseball, against other baseball teams in the Pacific Coast League (a group of 10 baseball teams at the same level).[2] The Comets are partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers, a Major League Baseball team. When a player shows that he plays well at this level, he may be moved up to play for the Dodgers.

The team started playing baseball in 1962 as the Oklahoma City 89ers. They played in the Triple-A American Association in 1962, the Pacific Coast League from 1963 to 1968, the American Association again from 1969 to 1997, and in the Pacific Coast League again since 1998. The team changed their name to the Oklahoma RedHawks in 1998, Oklahoma City RedHawks in 2009, Oklahoma City Dodgers in 2015, and Oklahoma City Baseball Club in 2024. They became the Oklahoma City Comets in 2025 because of the city's ties to the aerospace industry.[3] The name also refers to Oklahoma native Mickey Mantle's nickname, "the Commerce Comet".[3]

The Comets have played at a stadium called Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark since 1998. Before that, they played at All Sports Stadium from 1962 to 1997.
