Oscar Fernandes

Oscar Fernandes (27 March 1941 – 13 September 2021) was an Indian politician. He was born in present-day Karnataka, India. He was a member of the Indian National Congress. Fernandes was a member of the Parliament of India between 1980 until 1996 and again from 1998 until his death. He was the Minister of Road Transport and Highways between 2013 and 2014.

Fernandes died at a hospital in Mangalore, India from thrombus caused by a fall on 13 September 2021, aged 80.[1]
