Otto Roffel (4 June 1927 – 25 September 2022) was a Dutch footballer goalkeeper.[1]

Roffel played with GVAV (the predecessor of FC Groningen). Between 1947 and 1964 he played 384 matches. He played his first match when he was 20 years old. Next, Roffel had to go to the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) for his military service. He became professional in 1955. Roffel was described as one of the best keepers of his era in the Netherlands. He also played for the Netherlands national B-team. He was selected for the Netherlands national team twice, but he did not appear for the national team.[1]

After his playing career, Roffel became director of the Olympisch Stadion in Amsterdam.[1] In 1996 he helped the rescue plan to save the stadium from demolition.[2]

In 2015 Roffel was honored at the sports park of the football association in Groningen. Two photos of Roffel have been painted with graffiti on a container next to the main field.[3]

Roffel died in Amstelveen on 25 September 2022, aged 95.[1]
