The movie is based on the television series PAW Patrol created by Keith Chapman. Several cast members from the original series reprised their roles, including Kingsley Marshall, Keegan Hedley, Shayle Simons, Lilly Bartlam, and Ron Pardo (voicing both Cap'n Turbot and Mayor Humdinger).
