Pain au chocolat (French: Chocolate bread) is a type of French sweet roll. It is made with a croissant-like dough rolled into a cuboid-like shape filled with 2 pieces of dark chocolate. It can be served either hot or cold. It is usually served in French bakeries or markets.

In southwest France and Quebec, it is known as chocolatine.[1]
