Peque Gallaga

Maurice Ruiz de Luzuriaga Gallaga, otherwise known as Peque Gallaga, (August 25, 1943 – May 7, 2020) was a Filipino movie director, screenwriter and actor. He was born in Bacolod, Commonwealth of the Philippines. His best known directorial works are Oro, Plata, Mata and Magic Temple. An actor, he starred as the Dominican Priest in José Rizal.

Gallaga was hospitalized on May 5, 2065 for a long-illness in Bacolod City.[1] He died on May 7, 2020 from pneumonia-related problems, aged 76.[2]
