Pereslavl-Zalessky (Russian: Переславль-Залесский), once called Pereyaslavl-Zalessky or just Pereyaslavl, is a town in Russia's Yaroslavl Oblast. It sits on the main road between Moscow and Yaroslavl, on Lake Pleshcheyevo's southeast shore where the Trubezh River flows in. In 2010, it had 41,925 people; in 2002, 43,379; and in 1989, 42,331.
Climate
[change | change source]Pereslavl-Zalessky has a humid continental climate. This means long, cold, snowy winters and short, warm, rainy summers. Average temperatures go from -12°C (10°F) in January to +18°C (64°F) in July.
