Peter Britton Tobin[3][4] (born 27 August 1946 died 8 October 2022)[5] [1] is a Scottish convicted serial killer and sex offender. He is serving a life sentence at HM Prison Edinburgh[6] for three murders committed between 1991 and 2006.[7] Police believe Tobin is responsible for other deaths of young women and girls.[8]

In January 2022, Tobin was hospitalised after collapsing, but was returned to prison after less than two days.[9] He was taken to hospital again in March 2022, before being released two days later.[10]
