Phyo Gyi (Burmese: ဖြိုးကြီး; pronounced: [pʰjó dʑí]; born 25 January 1979) is a Burmese singer and musician. He is known for his contributions to pop music in Myanmar. He started his career in the early 2000s and has released many albums and songs.

Early life

Phyo Gyi was born as Phyo Myint Ngwe on 25 January 1979 in Yangon, Myanmar. He studied Botany before he became a musician.

Career

Phyo Gyi started his music career in 2001 as a member of the group 102.7FM. He released two albums with the group: San Da in 2001 and Tha Chin Chit Thu in 2002. In 2003, he released his first solo album, A Thin Chay.

Over the years, he has made many hit songs and worked with other famous artists. In 2012, he released his second solo album, Ma Mone Kyaye. He has performed in concerts and music festivals across Myanmar.
