Pico de gallo

Pico de gallo (known in Mexico as Salsa fresca) is a Mexican garnish that is often placed on tacos or tostadas. It is made with onions, serrano peppers, tomatoes, cilantro and lime juice. There are variations of this garnish such as ones with avocado, nopales (cactus), etc.
