Pied-à-terre

A pied-a-terre (French for foot on the ground) is a dwelling unit, especially a small apartment that someone uses during the work week if their primary residence is located very far from their job in a major city. Pieds-a-terre are usually inhabited by those with high-paying corporate jobs.
