Pierre Viot

Pierre Viot (9 April 1925 – 6 August 2020) was a French executive. He was a Senior Advisor on the French Court of Audit. He was born in Bordeaux, France. Viot headed the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée from 1973 to 1984.

Viot was President of the Paris Opera between 1985 to 1987. Between 1985 to 1990, he was President of the Opéra Bastille. Between 1984 to 2000, he was President of the Cannes Film Festival.

Viot died on 6 August 2020 at the age of 95.[1]
