It is based upon the book series by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann (Elizabeth being the coauthor of Pinkalicious and Purplelicious). The series is produced by WGBH Kids in association with Sixteen South.

The series first aired on February 19, 2018,^[1] and final aired on December 3, 2025, with made of seven seasons and 84 episodes.
