Pluviometry

Pluviometry is a field of meteorology concerned with the measurement of rainfall. The word comes from the Latin word pluvius which means rain, and the Greek word metron (μέτρον), meaning measure.[1] The amount of rain can be measured in a rain gauge, or pluviometer.
