Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is an initiative by the Government of India. It plans affordable housing for the urban poor. The target is to build 20 million affordable houses by 31 March 2022.

The total number of funded houses approved so far is 39,25,240 in urban areas.[1] Five million rural houses will be built by March 2018 and 10 million rural houses by March 2019.[2]
