Psycho is a 1959 horror novel by American writer Robert Bloch. The novel is about the story of Norman Bates, a caretaker at an lonely motel who lives with a strict mother and starts killing a lot of people. The novel is thought to be the most influential horror novels of the 20th century.[2]
The story was made into Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 movie of the same name, and was made into the television series Bates Motel (2013–2017).
