Robert Lawrence Stine (born October 8, 1943), known as .R. L. Stine, is an American horror fiction author. He is also a television producer. He is known for creating the Goosebumps and Fear Street book series. Stine was famous for writing an incredible amount of books 22 to be exact but despite this nobody master his creative imagination and knack for writing horror stories.

Stine was born to a Jewish family in Columbus, Ohio.[1] .R.L. Stine was the son of Lewis Stine, a shipping clerk, and Anne Feinstein. Stine grew up in Bexley, Ohio. Stine began writing at the age of nine, when he found a typewriter in his attic, subsequently beginning to type stories and joke books
