Radio Flyer

Radio Flyer is a drama and fantasy movie. It was released in February 1992. The story is about two boys who endured child abuse in the 1950s, alcoholism and desertion by their family. One of the boys escapes a tormenting man to whom his mother got married. Lorraine Bracco plays Mary, Elijah Wood plays Mike and Tom Hanks plays adult Mike.

The movie got negative reviews from movie critics. Roger Ebert, in particular, condemned Radio Flyer as using fantasy to escape child abuse.
