Ramadan Abdullah Mohammed Shalah (1 January 1958 – 6 June 2020) was a Palestinian militant. He was the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) between 27 October 1995 and 2018. PIJ has been designated a terrorist organisation by the United States,[1] the European Union,[2] the United Kingdom,[3] Japan,[4] Canada,[5] Australia,[6] New Zealand[7][8] and Israel.

In 2006, he was placed on the United States FBI Most Wanted Terrorists list.

In April 2018, Shalah suffered a many strokes. He died on 6 June 2020 in Lebanon from heart surgery-related problems, aged 62.[9]
