Randy Travis (born May 4, 1959 in Marshville, North Carolina) is an American country music singer and actor. He first went into mainstream in the mid to late 1980s, having a number of hits. By the early to mid 1990s, his started to be less successful. He acted in several movies, including The Rainmaker (1997).
