Ranji Trophy

The Ranji Trophy is the national first-class cricket championship of India. It was launched in 1934 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (the BCCI). The trophy is named after K. S. Ranjitsinhji. Bombay, now Mumbai, won the first tournament, and have gone on to win 42 in all. Their most recent title was in 2024.[1]
