Rapperswil is a municipality in the Seeland administrative district in the canton of Berne in Switzerland. It lies 13 km (8.1 mi) north of the capital Bern. On 1 January 2013 the former municipality of Ruppoldsried merged into Rapperswil.[3] On 1 January 2016 the former municipality of Bangerten merged into Rapperswil.[4]
