Raymond Cruz (born September 10, 1964) is a Hispanic/Latin American actor. He is best known for his roles as Detective Julio Sanchez in the police procedural The Closer and its spin-off Major Crimes, and as the drug lord Tuco Salamanca in the crime drama Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul. He has also appeared in the movies Under Siege (1992), Clear and Present Danger (1994), The Substitute (1996), Alien: Resurrection (1997) and Training Day (2001).[1]

Cruz was born in Los Angeles, California. He is of Mexican ancestry. He is married to Simi Cruz.
