Richard Lee Petty (born July 2, 1937) is a former NASCAR Sprint Cup Race car driver. Richard has 200 Sprint Cup wins, more than any other driver in the Sprint Cup Series.[1] Richard has also won the Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup) seven times. Only Dale Earnhardt and Petty have this championship seven times. Richard is often called "The King" of NASCAR.[2]
