Riffat Hassan

Riffat Hassan (born 1943 in Lahore) is a Pakistani-American feminist and Islamic scholar of the Quran.[1]

She studied from Durham University, England and later moved to the United States where she is a professor in a university[source?].

She is a strong supporter of 'Progressive Islam' and of the right of abortion and to the access to Contraception for Muslim women[source?].
