Rimma Markova

Rimma Vasilievna Markova (Russian: Римма Васильевна Маркова; 3 March 1925 – 15 January 2015) was a Russian movie actress. She began acting in 1951. She was named a People's Artist of Russia in 1994. Her younger brother Leonid Markov was named a People's Artist of the USSR in 1985. She was best known her her roles in the movies The Alive and the Dead (1964), The Pokrovsky Gate (1982), The Outskirts (1998), Night Watch (2004), Day Watch (2006), The Best Movie (2008), and Burnt by the Sun 2 (2010).

Markova was born in the Samara Oblast.

Markova died on 16 January 2015 in Moscow, aged 89.[1]
