Robert Jones "Rob" Portman (born December 19, 1955) is an American lawyer and the junior United States Senator from Ohio. He served as the 14th United States Trade Representative and 35th Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
Portman was born on December 19, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is of Scottish, Northern Irish, English, and German ancestry.[1] Portman studied at Dartmouth College and at the University of Michigan. He is married to Jane Dudley. They have three children.
