Robert Runcie

Robert Runcie (2 October 1921 - 12 July 2000) was an English archbishop.[1]


Runcie was born near Liverpool. He was educated at Oxford University. During World War Two, he was in the Scots Guards. He was Bishop of St Albans from 1970 to 1979 and Archbishop of Canterbury from 1979 to 1992.[2]
