Roberto Farias

Roberto Farias (March 27, 1932 – May 14, 2018) was a Brazilian movie director, producer and screenwriter. He has directed 15 movies from 1957 to 2018. His 1982 movie Pra Frente, Brasil was entered into the 33rd Berlin International Film Festival.[1] He also directed Cidade Ameaçada (1960), O Assalto ao Trem Pagador (1962) and Pra Quem Fica, Tchau (1971). He was born in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro.

Farias died of stomach cancer in Rio de Janeiro on May 14, 2018 at the age of 86.[2]
