Ron Withnall

Ronald John Withnall (9 December 1914 – 16 September 1990) was an Australian politician and lawyer. In 1960, he was elected to the Northern Territory Legislative Council. He served as a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1974 to 1977 for Port Darwin.[1] In the first assembly of the Northern Territory, he and fellow independent Dawn Lawrie were the only non-Country Liberal Party members.

Withnall was born in Townsville, Queensland. He died in 1990 at the age of 75.
